Wesley Gibson (James McAvoy) is pretty sick of life. He's broke. He suffers from panic attacks. He's got no friends. His job puts him off more than the Saas Bahu crap shown on air. His girlfriend's cheating on him with his so-called best friend. Depressed and dejected, Wesley drifts from one day to another trying to figure out the true meaning behind his miserable existence.
And then one day, out of nowhere his life is turned upside down after a visit from a sizzling hot assassin called Fox (Angelina Jolie) who tells him that he's the son of a world class assassin.
Unlike the bald, silent assassin who goes by the name of Agent 47, Wesley's dad was a part of a group called The Fraternity who took it upon them to eradicate evil from the land. During a routine mission father dearest gets murdered by a former assassin gone rouge and it's up to our meek protagonist to take his father's killer down and save the day.
